Memorable visit to a really interesting, heartfelt museum. We learnt how the Poppy Apeal was created and the support it continues to give to veterans. Made a poppy each and then helped to make a wreath. Nice to see the factory area where wreaths are made, including those for the Royal Family.

Support other corrupt organisations and they breach peoples GDPR and medical files they also patronise their staff and talk to them grown men like they are 5, Mr J is rude to many people and pretentious and Mr K who likes to say boyo a lot is rude and abrupt and likes to send abusive emails and likes to disobey his previous manager, previous manager did however have issyes with the truth
They don't help people and like to waste peoples time with false promises I have all the emails as evidence of this, they even bullied one their own employment team telling him he wasn't allowed to speak to me as I had caught them out even tho I had known him over 10 years and he found me to be a "polite and respectful and bright young man" but the rest them discriminate against me because of where I am from
They then decide to start sending me emails asking if if I would like help recently was a generic email about helping forces families etc
But still as I have requested they don't contact me but they decide to anyway shows how much notice they take of people yet another veterans charity that likes to take the dough-nations but doesn't like to help veterans
Very rude and very abusive staff I still have the email from Mrs De claiming the 8 things she was going to sort after their staff were dishonest and rude and didn't even reply back for 3 months
That member staff now working in cahoots with another corrupt organisation

We visited as an independent party of 2 on a Tuesday in August. We had prebooked.
We drove from Lancing and parked for free at the premises. We received a warm welcome from the host David and joined a party of 10 others for the tour. The tour lasted approximately an hour then we had complimentary coffee and tea (additional £2.50 for cake).
The tour was very interesting and informative and we got to make our own poppies.
We then visited the gift shop and purchased two of the beautiful mugs as shown in the pics.
Highly recommended. Worth going out of your way for.
Two minute drive from Richmond Park which is also well worth a visit.

A very informative and interesting visit to the Poppy Factory in Richmond. Our host was very informative and knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the history of the poppy factory and work they do. We learnt now only Poppy wreaths for the Royal Family are made on site along with wreaths for bespoke requests and other commissioned ones. But still made at Richmond are all the poppies petals you will see at the yearly remembrance service at the Royal Albert Hall. Some 6million poppy petals cascade down. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
We were also able to make individual poppies along with a larger wreath.
There’s no car parking on site but from the centre of Richmond a short 10-15 minute walk, we parked at the Old Deer car park
It is actually their centennial year and so it was disappointing there was actually no commemorative items to purchase in the gift shop to reflect this special year for them. The gift shop is very small with limited items for sale which again was disappointing. I had hoped I would have been able to purchase at least an enamel pin but no pins for sale. Word of warning they only process card payments NO cash.
Sadly you do not actually get to have a ‘tour’ of the factory itself.

Excellent tour of the Poppy Factory. Our guide Jyoti fully explained the history of the Poppy Factory and how the Poppy has become a symbol of remembrance. We were also given a talk on The Poppy Factory’s continuing work with employment seeking disabled service personnel.
The tours are twice a day and free but need to be booked
A nice touch was being offered tea or coffee and biscuits on arrival in the reception hall.
There are also nice walks and eating places along the banks of the River Thames only 10minutes away.
Well done The Poppy Factory.

Learnt many surprising facts about the history of the poppy. Amazed at the production of so many items. Volunteer tour guides were excellent, very knowledgeable and proud of the factory. Opportunity to purchase poppy items from gift shop. Made a poppy in the factory. Viewed the royal family's wreaths and photographs of visits. Met ex-veterans who work in the factory. Felt very happy to leave a donation. Nice cup of tea or coffee on arrival. First part of the tour is sitting, watching a presentation, Q&A. Second part is a short tour. Highly recommend a visit.
Tours must be booked.

We had a very interesting visit to the Poppy Factory today. Lovely friendly, helpful staff and we learnt a lot about the excellent work that the organisation does. We had a delicious home cooked lunch, which has to be pre-booked, and were able to try our hand at making our own poppies. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

We went on a coach trip and it was an extremely interesting and informative afternoon. The volunteer staff were just great. You can even make your own poppy. Given a cup of tea or coffee. Merchandise can be purchased from the small shop area. Definitely recommend

Surprised this was tucked away from main street, with not a lot of parking. Interesting knowledge given by guide and short videos. Nice participation in making poppies, would have liked to have spoken to the Veteran's though.

Well worth visiting to see how the Poppies are made in this wonderful factory. A real hidden gem in Richmond. They hold regular tours during the week. Great to go on a visit with a group of colleagues or friends. Educational as well.No parking on site so best to use public transport as Richmond train station is nearby.

I cannot stand for long periods. Do I need to bring my Stroller/Walker, so I can sit down occasionally. Is the initial presentation seated?
