We (four of us) had the pleasure of having Sali from Catun Adventures as our personal guide for three days in Kosovo. He made our stay into a real adventure. Some of what we covered were Pristina, Mitrovica, Prizren, Raovec, Peja. In between this there where several sights we would never have found by ourselves - caves, roman escavations, visiting Sufi congregation, wine tasting, orthodox churces, museums and more.
To have Sali with us all the time with his detailed knowledge combined with the ability to see the history of Kosovo in a bigger picture, made the stay into a once in a life time experience.
At the last day we did a hiking trip in the mountains on the border to Montenegro. It was good to experience the beauty of nature and be able to digest all the interesting and challenging stories we had learnt about. It is difficult to hear about some of the horrible war atrocities that happened in this country in our time.
But the country has so much more to offer through culture, food, wine (go wine tasting), beer, religion, night life, outdoor activities and more.
If you ever go to Kosovo (which you should) and need a guide, contact Catun Adventure!
