Hotel Les Mouettes Questions et réponses

Los Angeles, Californie

I am concerned about this review. How can we assure we will get the room we expect?

make sure to request a sea view room. The ones on the street, are small, although well equipped, but are quite expensive for what you get.

Privilege rooms are more expensive, but much better; if you can afford it would be the right choice. In any case, besides your booking, you should speak to the staff - for advice and clarification and to change or upgrade - the staff is flexible.

We intentionally booked the least expensive room and it was the one on their website. Just write them and tell them what you want. It is the place to stay--- you can drive to beautiful beaches. Note that all roads in Corsica are 2 lane curvy ones!

I think that as long as you have booked a Superior (i.e. Anything but standard) you will be OK. We stayed recently in a superior room - 2nd floor with balcony - and whilst not particularly spacious by US standards should be acceptable. The choice of 4 or 5 star hotels in and around Ajaccio isn't great but you will find that this hotel's position right on the beach of Ajaccio bay is very, very nice.

No idea how the hotel categorise their rooms, but fyi as I recall, the main building is three floors - ground floor opens onto the garden and pool via a small private terrace area, middle floor has balconies with ceiling (ie floor of the balcony above) and the top floor has balconies open to the sky with retractable awnings. We took a Privilege room with seaview - happy to send photo from balcony, but can't see how ! - we were in room 30 (I think) which was on the top floor and had clear view of the bay and pool area with sun for majority of the day.

We came down there from Le Meurice in Paris and if you're looking for somewhere like that, you will be disappointed. The rooms are fairly sparsely furnished and of modest size (certainly by American standards !),but we liked thought the place had a discreet charm. Service is unobtrusive and efficient. The choice of food in the hotel is good,if limited, but since we normally prefer to eat out in the evening, this was not a problem.

Please feel free to ask if any further questions.

I was traveling alone. I booked cheapest room. I think if you are very specific about what you want there will not be a problem. Just DO NOT Get one of the two rooms across from kitchen. The hotel pool beach area is really lovely.
