Excelsior Palace Questions et réponses

Rochester, État de New York

Hello, My family and I (group of 11) check in May 31st. One in our party has a transporter wheelchair. We have transportation worked out for our arrival. However, we have 2 people requiring transportation June 1st to the Palermo airport (PMO). Do you offer hotel transportation to the airport? If yes, what is the cost? If no, what is the most economical way you recommend for 2 people to travel to the airport on Saturday, June 1st? The remainder of our party need to depart to the airport June 2nd with a transporter wheelchair (9 travelers). How would you recommend the 9 of us travel to the airport knowing one traveler will require being pushed in a wheelchair, as he is not able to walk any more than from one room to the next? Thank you!

I cannot answer your question about suitable transportation arrangements for your handicapped traveller.

I would mail Mercure and simply arrange a suitable minibus. Their Receptionist is quite responsive to my requests

PMO is quite far and we paid about 55 Euro each way in a normal taxi but that might have been Mafia prices!

The hotel floors are also uneven with stairs so be sure that your colleague is booked into accomodation near the lift.

Also they don’t advertise it but you can ask for eggs at breakfast. Do try the Sicilian offerings

Hotel restaurant by Reception and lift is convenient and looked quite good so that might help. They do seem busy there in evenings.

Pizza place around the corner is to die for but it’s across a street and along a pavement

Recommend the archaeagical museum which looked handicap enabled. All on one floor and interesting

Enjoy the food in town like my wife and I did!

Easy pavement walk by the tram into town. About 10 mins and no steps btw

We hope you enjoy your experience in Palermo and please eat the aranchini balls!
