We loved the hospitality and service Thomas and the whole team provided. It felt they were genuinely and personally vested in making sure we had an amazing experience. It has a very boutique family type of feel to it personalized to you and the location is wonderful.

I was quite disappointed by our stay at the Château d‘Ouchy. The arrival by car wasn’t very smooth. It was quite confusing how to use the parking and none of the staff members really helped. No one helped with our luggage when we arrived at the lobby. So the first impression already wasn’t great as we didn’t feel welcome. The décor feels out of date - which is a shame considering the architecture and its location by the lake are stunning. The bed was quite uncomfortable, with the pillow in particular feeling cheap and not up to standard. The hotel is not terrible, but considering the price point and it being considered one of the “luxury” boutique hotels in Lausanne, I would have expected much better.

Dear Madam, Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay at Château d'Ouchy. We are sorry to hear that your arrival was not as smooth as we would have liked. Please be assured that our team is always available to assist with your parking and baggage handling needs. We appreciate your compliment on our superb location and beautiful architecture. However, we are disappointed that you found the decor and bedding dated. Our aim is to provide a relaxing and comfortable stay for all our guests, and we are sorry that this was not the case for you. Nevertheless, we appreciate your valuable feedback and will take it into account as we continue to strive for excellence in all areas of our hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future and demonstrating our commitment to providing you with a truly exceptional experience at Château d'Ouchy. With kindest regards, Caroline Cornut Executive Assistant

What happened to this place?!?
We stayed here a year ago, and Chateau d'Ouchy and Lausanne quickly became my favorite place in the world. We stayed 5 nights this time. Now I will never stay her again for so many reasons.
Before I write a scathing review - and the hotel earned that this time - I would like to compliment Noura, the Assistant Front Desk Manager. I ran into her casually, she greeted me with enthusiasm, actually welcomed me back, remembered my room type and asked how our stay was going (early on). I cannot say enough good things about Noura. In terms of hospitality, "she gets it." I do, however, feel she should absolutely be working at a 5* hotel instead of here. This is beneath her skill set and she picks up the slack where a very lacking staff fall short (many times). So, if you have any grievances, just ask to speak to Noura and she'll properly address your concerns -- unless she finally moves to a 5* resort where she belongs.
As Hyatt Globalists, I thought is was a pretty low blow that we booked this hotel in March when it was affiliated with Hyatt and were notified that SLS/Hyatt were cutting ties in early June; therefore, we would not receive any Hyatt credit. We booked through Hyatt as a Hyatt and that should have been honored.
We booked a deluxe lake view room, which is a step up from a superior room. There's supposed to be more footage; we were supposed to have a bath/shower combo; there used to be airy white sheets draped down from the bed posts. Instead, we got a room that I was convinced was smaller than the lower class booked a year ago (there was no way this room was 35sq m), only a shower stall (both 2 of the pictures for this room showcase a bathtub/shower combo or bathtub and separate shower. There were no airy draped sheets. When I went to the front desk, I was pretty much dismissed with poor excuses - every room is different (well, if you're advertising that as a deluxe with 35sq m vs 24sq m for a superior, you should get that). In all fairness, the view from the room was breathtaking and never got old - but you get the same view from both room types (as advertised)
Of note, this is the only hotel in Europe I've ever been to where housekeeping covers the bed with 2 duvets, each double folded and rotated 45 degrees. Why on Earth would you rotate the duvets 45 degrees or have 2 duvets on a "king bed?" Annoyingly, and uncomfortable, they place 2 twin beds together instead of a king bed (as advertised).
There was a very loud demonstration outside the hotel one night. It is normal hotel practice to place a note in each room to make each guest aware of the potential for disruptive noise. That didn't happen.
The hotel was never crowded, especially the pool, breakfast, bar, and very easy to access public transport.
The pool is a beautiful, small one with shallow soaking areas at either end. It is completely relaxing, a mini oasis. On this stay, I was the only person at the pool when I was there. I was particularly irritated when I ordered 2 drinks, waited 20 minutes, went to the bartender who was in a conversation with his friend who looked at me and seemed off-put that I was following up. He didn't speak English well (or so I thought - read below), so his friend translated. It was explained to me that he simply just didn't check the incoming orders (as he was too busy talking to his friend). Waited another 10 minutes only to have the assistant front desk manager bring towels (lost in translation). I was awestruck that the assistant front desk manager was doing a task the bartender, who had no customers, couldn't be bothered to do.
The breakfast selection was great. Ticked off all the boxes.
Transport to light rail is about 200 or 300 meters and the lake is right there if you want to go for a walk or run.
The bar/tapas bar downstairs is comprised of 3, maybe 4 guys who are embarrassingly under qualified. The weren't attentive and socialized with each other more than taking care of their customers. They made at least 1 drink wrong, and we always had to go to the bar to pay our check rather than 1 of the servers tending to us.
Remember the bartender re the pool who acted like he couldn't speak English well? Haha. We ordered drinks from him a day or 2 later and boy was his English just fine.
Room service will break the bank. I'm sorry I can't remember exact prices, but I think a burger - yes, a burger - was something like 46CHF! Tip: walk across the street where there are 3 restaurants (we like the creperie the most), and you get very reasonable prices.
I will never stay here again. The only standout was the view from our room.
Noura, please give notice and seek employment at a 5* hotel. This hotel is in shambles and far beneath you.

Dear Lloydy110,
We thank you for your enquiry.
As it is an outdoor swimming pool, it is closed from end of September.
However, you can access the Spa from the Beau-Rivage Palace but there is a fee required.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Best regards,

Hi, sorry we were only there one night so didn’t really go looking for a Gym. The restaurant attached to the hotel was lovely as was the location. Loved it
I have no idea about parking as we traveled by train

Most hotels open their restaurants on Christmas Day but would inquire directly
