A couple years ago, I sent this resort a bank transfer deposit, just before covid shut down Indonesia tourism. Have requested a refund, to no avail. Whatever you do, do not send them a bank or wire transfer.

I had a brief but very enjoyable stay at the Sareni Raja Ampat back in March of this year. Unfortunately my planned stay of a week only ended up being 48 hours due to a mad scramble home as borders rapidly closed due to the Pandemic. The newly built accommodation sits in a tranquil and stunning bay about 1.30-2hrs from Sorong on an occasionally bumpy boat ride. The cabins over the water are very comfortable and are a great mid range option in a beautiful part of Raja Ampat. The bed was excellent and the room benefitted from both a ceiling fan and air con. The cabin was not 100% sealed to the elements so expect a visit from a bug or two but I slept just fine without a mosquito net. Slide open the front doors in the morning and you'll hear amazing bird song, and the splashing of fish swimming in the crystal clear water. It's magical. Snorkelling from the pier is excellent.
Tasty & plentiful food was provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mostly spicy fish, rice & fried bananas - you won't go hungry. Bring any extra supplies such as snacks & beer from Sorong as there is nothing around. Mobile phone signal / data can accessed via a 2 minute scramble up a (steep) hill behind the property, this meant a great balance between disconnecting from the world but still being able to get your news fix if you need it. Staff were wonderful and were happy to arrange boat trips to watch Manta Ray's and a waterfall. One small area for improvement was that as a guest you have to know about and ask for these trips, so do a bit of research beforehand. I would the resort to get a book together of local trips the can organise for divers/non divers. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to come back and stay again. I am especially thankful for their help and flexibility in arranging a trip back to Sorong within one hour notice!

RESORT: We have found it coinsidantaly because we didnt want to stay in the resort that we have booked before (it was nearby). With S. it was Love from the first sight! After the talk with Vina, exellent Englisch speaking and very professionell Manager, we stayed here and we were very thankful. The resort was at that time not open, because it was not completly ready for the guests - we haven't noticed that, because we had much more as we needed.

Our on-water Bungalow was relativ big with glass windows from all sides, so that you can see all the beauty of nature. The beds and the pillows are extremly comfortable. In the Bungalow there is a small aircondition, ventilator on the roof, even anti-moskito set. On the veranda there is a sort of a hamok. The resort has a very comfortable modern kitchen with a bar in the middle. The food is very tasty and more then enough, was served with love and care. During the day there was always snack. In our case there was often Pisang Goreng (frittierte banana), cause we love it. The stuff is very attantive and makes everything for you to be happy.
One of the fantastic place in the resort is pear. There we have spent plenty of time, enjoing the paradise nature.
NATURE: The resort is situated in a very beutifull area, so that you see at the same time the open see, the very thick jungle forest and a wonderful sunrise in the morning, where the only sounds are birds, wind and water far below. Here is the perfect place for bird watching. Uncountable quantity of Kakadus, Hornbills, colourful Parrots and many other, that we dont know. Every day we heared a fascinating bird orchestra, that we even haven't heared in the Arfak mountians that is famous for bird watching. Under the pear one bird couple have made the small nest, so more beautifull birds are going to be born. There are no Internet connection in the resort, but you have immediately 4G if you clime the hill 5 minutes. There you kann make a fantastic bird watching as well.
The resort has a very beutifull and diverse hausriff on the left and on the right sides of Bungalows. We have seen planty of neu for us corrals, diversity of fishes, turtals. On the right side of Bungalows 5 minutes snorcking we often saw sharks. 5 minutes to Mangroven we have seen one very big fish, so big as we are, with a very strange undescrible head and face, 3 Times bigger as its body, similar to Napoleon fish. We even now dont know what it was...
In this resort you relax with your body, your soul and your heart. Highly recommended! We come back again!:)

For basic boat (without canopy) the cost for airport transfer return both ways for 2 people is $340.
While for boat with canopy, the cost for airport transfer return both ways for 2 people is $460.
