During our driving tour of Brittany we stayed in many B&B's - a chateau, beach-side stone farm cottages and even a converted mill but Le Reve stands out as our most memorable experience. Sue and Alan are amazing hosts and felt more like old friends. Home baking awaited us on arrival and in the evening after exploring the immediate surroundings (there is much to see - Carnac, Josselin etc - allow a week here if you can!) we sat back with our hosts enjoying red wine and their good humour. Our children, age 17 and 11, felt very much at home and consider the night we spent at Le Reve one of the highlights of their entire Europe tour. The family room is extremely practical and comfortable. Be sure to walk around the immediate area - Le Reve's nearest neighbour is a very old church with an interesting well and engravings. Alan and Sue are very familiar with it's extensive history so I will leave that for them to tell you over a bottle of red wine!…

We stayed at Le Reve for 7 days. Sue & Alan were most welcoming and looked after us so well. the buffet breakfasts were very good, they kept us going almost all day. The bedroom had the wow factor, so beautiful and romantic. Everything you could possibely need. Tea making facilities down to cotton buds and little extras you don't normally find. I would recommend them to everyone, they are just great. thanks again and see you again one day

The website is great and reality did not disappoint. Sue and Alan have done a magnificent job in setting up this venture amidst the tranquility of central Brittany. After a friendly welcome accompanied by tea/coffee and homemade cake, we felt like we had arrived at the home of old friends and that feeling never left. Evenings spent chatting over a glass of red, after exploring the districts many attractions, were the perfect way to wind down and we reluctantly left after three nights to continue our travels through France. The accommodation was superb, the furnishings modern and fresh, the bed sublime and the many little extras are too numerous to mention. Tea and coffee making facilities in our room were greeted with cries of delight from me (this is France after all) and we can't wait to return to this perfect little oasis (next time for much longer). Loved the tealights in the fireplace Alan, you scored lots of brownie points with that one! Sue's breakfasts were fantastic, definitely more English than French with a host of cereals and fresh cooked eggs as well as the usual French fare and way above what we grew to expect from other b & b's. The only advice I could give to Sue and Alan was to raise their rates - this place is way too cheap and one of the best accommodation we experienced in our whole 6 week stay in France. Congratulations Sue and Alan - you've done a fabulous job.…
